Gift CD

Picasa can write your pictures to a CD or DVD, with a custom slideshow and a Picasa installer. Gift CDs are a good way to share a large number of pictures with someone, whether or not that person has Picasa.

Picasa burns whole folders and labels to CD, so rearrange pictures or add captions before you burn the CD. If you want to make a Gift CD of pictures from many folders, add the pictures to a new Label. You can include multiple labels/folders on a Gift CD.

To get started, select a folder or label and click the Gift CD button.

Step One: Selection & Settings

1. Select the folders to include on the CD. Selected folders will show a checkbox in the Folder List.

2. To add more folders to the CD, click the Add More button. All the folders and labels in Picasa will appear. Add a checkbox next to each label or folder you want to include.

3. Specify a size for your saved pictures.

4. Click Include Slideshowif you want a slideshow to play when the CD is loaded.  

Step Two: Name the Gift CD

1. Enter the name of your Gift CD.  

2. Check Include Picasa if you would like to include a Picasa installer on the CD.

3. Place a CD or DVD in your burner, and click Burn Disc

What kind of DVD is this?

Picasa does not burn VCDs or DVDs suitable for watching on a television. The Gift CD can be used only on another computer. The slideshow program will work on Windows only, but the files are readable by Macs and Linux machines.
